A Family Tradition
Trevor and Maureen purchased the Inn in 1999. Having immigrated here from Zimbabwe a few years earlier, they fell in love with the friendly people of Burnsville and the beautiful scenery surrounding Yancey County. They immediately chose Burnsville to be their new home, where they would raise their two children Ryan & Stacey.
Trevor and Maureen worked tirelessly to renovate and bring the original 1948 motel back to life. Throughout the years they would get to know their guests and to be able to call them their friends. In August of 2020, their daughter Stacey and her family took over the motel to carry on the family business.
